Counseling Office

Counselors are an integral part of the school community. They provide activities to meet the needs of students, consult with teachers, staff, and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students, and provide support to other middle school educational programs.  Counselors assist students in the development of lifelong skills needed to develop character, to cope with life's challenges, and to build cohesive relationships. 

At HMS, counselors move with students every year, so students will have the same counselor for three years.  This enables them to build lasting relationships with each student.  Students may schedule to meet with their counselor to assist them with academic, social and emotional, and career planning goals.
