Our MOU with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts has very generously allowed us to use Hersheypark Stadium for our Hershey High School home football games during the regular season since 2006. As part of the MOU, there is an understanding that with 3 years’ notice, the MOU could be terminated. The district received that notice on July 29, 2024. While we have cherished our time at Hersheypark Stadium, we are thrilled about the exciting opportunities this move brings for our students, parents, staff, and community. On Monday, June 24th, the DTSD School Board approved revisions to policy 237, Electronic Devices. This update is to help parents, educators, and community members prepare for the coming year. The new version of policy 237 limits the use of personal cellular devices as a part of the district's plans to tackle mental health and bullying issues associated with social media. Additionally, limiting access to cell phones throughout the school day will allow students to be more focused on teacher instruction and their academic endeavors. We believe these changes will create a healthier school environment.
