Welcome to Hershey Middle School

Originally built in 1966 as a high school, Hershey Middle School was renovated into the middle school in 1998. Today the 157,000-square foot facility houses nearly 900 students in grades 6-8. The building boasts a full size gym, a 1,000+ seat auditorium, a card access system, and internet/television/ phone access in all classrooms.

Our middle school program emphasizes holistic learning through interdisciplinary teams, blending both subject knowledge and personal growth. This cohesive approach ensures a consistent and smooth transition for students, paving the way from their elementary experiences to the challenges of high school.

Extracurriculars and Athletics

Students have multiple opportunities to engage in rigorous learning across subject areas as well as participate in extra-curricular activities. By the time they enter high school, every student has the opportunity to be connected to at least one school activity be it athletics, clubs or music ensembles.

Student of the Month April 2025

Congratulations to the March Rotary Students of the Month representing Hershey High School - Tulsi Patel and Jacob Abraham! This particular honor recognizes the outstanding contributions they have made at Hershey High School as well as in the community. The Hershey Rotary honored Tulsi and Jacob during the April 28th board meeting. The students presented their speeches of accomplishments in person at the meeting.

2025 Walk for Clean Water

Hershey High School Key Club’s 10th Annual Walk for Clean Water will be held on Sunday, April 13th from 12-3pm, at Hershey High School. Launched in 2016 by a group of ambitious students in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Walk for Clean Water has since grown into a national movement of community-based walks that raise funds and awareness to fight the global water crisis. Student-led and youth-driven, we aim to see the end of the water crisis in our lifetime. Click here to learn more and register.

During the week of April 7th or April 14th students in grades 4 through 12 will participate in a short survey related to their experience in our schools.  This survey is part of the district’s continued efforts to support all students through Social and Emotional Learning.  The complete set of survey questions can be found on the district website here.
